Speed test - questions and answers

First Riding Memory: It has to be my first 12h pony Bobby. My brother, Nick and I used to ride him around bareback.

Career Highlight: It is really difficult to choose just one, achieving goals is special at the time which means there are many all the way through my career. The Olympic bronze medals in Beijing came to me later in life, which was a little unexpected.

From there, Miners Frolic and I went on to win the Individual and Team gold at Fontainebleau European Championships in 2009.

Greatest Riding Influence: I was lucky to have strong riding figures within in my family. My mother guided me through my career, she was a natural. Growing up I would have looked up to Lucinda Green also.

Favourite way to unwind: Sleep!!!

Three Dream Dinner Guests: Nelson Mandela, David Attenborough and Alan Carr (to add a bit of comedy to the evening!)

Favourite Event: There is a special aura about Badminton. I strive to have a horse that’s good enough to go there; it’s what really makes me tick.
